Interesting to think about
I watched good ole Sunday Morning this morning. They are celebrating their 30th anniversary and so a lot of the show was dedicated to talking about Sunday and all of the traditions surrounding this particular day of the week.

Someone raised an interesting point. Not too long ago, families tended to gather together on Sundays for Church or brunch or Sunday dinner, but now, with technology the way it is, families may not gather on Sundays, figuring they keep in touch with each other every day of the week, maybe multiples times a day. But are any of those communications as meaningful as gathering together at someone's house, sharing food, and talking in person? Discuss.

Hey you!
It's Melanie.
Sorry I was sick and ended up in the hospital, I got out on Friday and spent most of yesterday sleeping. I know I missed Zort's deadline but I still have these blocks from all of here in AZ. You think he'd mind if I sent them late? Otherwise I'll have to find another place to send them.

Thanks for checking on me.

Holy crap! Are you okay???

You can send the squares to Crazigriffen here on lj. She posted her address to Soapfairie's post asking where squares should go. But seriously don't worry about anything except getting well.

((Hugs))

I'm okay, tired and I feel bad because I really wanted to send the blocks to Zort and feel like a dork because I missed the deadline. I saw in my e-mail soapfarie was trying to get in touch with me too but I've only gotten in touch with you so far.

um, I'm pretty sure going to the hospital is a pretty good excuse. Please don't give any of it a second thought.

Of course not - but like it's demise, the Sunday Dinner is an American myth. I know as many people who do or do not do it as I knew twenty, thirty years ago. Certainly, my grandmother's family didn't practice it - nor my grandfather's, on either side.
