Hi Everyone,

It seems that livejournal is kind of dying here, so I've been thinking that I would maintain this account just to keep moderating Homespun Helpers, but that I would blog and what-not elsewhere. To this end, I want to see who all still checks for posts here. Please virtually nod via your keyboard if you still read this here thing.

In the meantime, I have some questions about Lost.

1. How is it not changing history for Farraday, Locke, Sawyer, and Juliet to go and talk to the young Others? Farraday told Sawyer not to even try to knock on the hatch door, but they can all talk to the Others? Shmeh?

2. Is it going to end up that Charles Whidmore actually knew Desmond from the 1950s and that's why he was so anti-Desmond?

3. So help me God, the thought occurred to me that Desmond & Penny's son Charlie might end up being THE Charlie. If that happens, I will be...........frustrated.

4. If Locke can remember moving around in time, why can't Richard, who has been doing it longer?

5. If the military knew about the island, wouldn't they notice when it suddenly disappears over the years, or changes location?

6.Did anyone else find the plot turn in the Charlotte story just a little too confusing to let pass? She's in a coma, traveling through time, and then she's going into a coma on the island?

7. Who was in the picture with Farraday when Desmond was in his old office? It was a blonde chick. I'm sure I'm supposed to know who that was.

Grr!

1. Time travel was always a confusing concept to understand. I just go with the flow!

2. Hmmm, I'm thinking no.

3. Ugh! That's an interesting thought. I hope not, too.

4. I don't think Richard's started moving around in time back in the 50's.

5. *shrugs*

6. When was Charlotte in a coma?

7. I thought it looked like the woman from the island. But I'm wondering if it was Theresa.

So, you don't think her real name was Theresa? I thought the woman in the bed was a blonde.

You could be right. Maybe I was expecting her to look like Charlotte, but I thought the face looked pretty similar.

Daniel told the blonde on the island she reminded him of someone. I'm thinking he was talking about Theresa.

My thoughts on the LOSt headcluck:

1) Because in the chronological history of the Island, they always have met Richard and The Others 9and dissapeared in a magic yellow glow). It doesn't change history, more *completes* it. We know it had to happen after what Richard told Locke last week (that he would see him again, Richard woulnd;t recognise him, that he would give Richard the compass).

Plus it explains why The Others have always been fascinated by Locke, and why Alpert was so keen to get Juliet to the Island (he had to, to *complete* history*).

2) I don't think so. I do however think that if Desmond and Penny take their son anywhere near that Island, timey wimey shit will happen and he will grow up to be THE Charles Widmore. Okay I'll admit it's a strech, but it could tie in nicely to the "Adam and Eve" bodies!

3) LOL I am tiotally reading your questions point by point. This is probably possible, but I think my theory above is more likley, given we have met Charlie Pace's parents in flashbacks.

4) There is no actual evidence that Richard has been moving around in time at all. Any seemingly prescient knowlged he has is probably just other people time-jumping and telling him stuff in the past. Like Locke did :)

The fact that Richard seems to not age is probably entirely unelated to time travel. As Juliet says, he has always been there?

5) Good point, though I guess they could have found it by accident while weapons testing, and maybe they all died?

6) Where is Charlotte in a coma? The only person we saw in a coma was the Theresa girl that Desmond visisted. I assume they are totally different people, that whatever happened to Theresa was the unfortunate result of a Faraday experiment... like what he did to the Mice (o were they rats?).

7) I am prety sure that was the Theresa girl, and that's why Desmond went to find her.

2. What?? No way! Besides he's Charlie Hume, not Widmore. LOL

I'kll nd to watch again to look for a ring, but I was assuming that as we have not seen Des and Penny get married, she is not Penny Hulme yet, so their son would keep her name.

You better look closely, because they are both wearing rings. ;)

They are? Okay I will take your word for it.

I guess it could still be possible though, if Baby!Charlie were to take his Moms Maiden name.

Something similar happened to my anscetors acyially, my great grandfather CHOSE to take his step-father's name. Technically my surname (and that of much of my fmaily) should be something else completely!

I can't see Des not having a child with his name.

Here's proof Des/Pen are married!

Photobucket

WTF? The entire pic doesn't show here. You'll have to click on it.

I'm nodding. I still read, but I rarely feel the desire to comment. I typically prefer to read about peoples' lives and what's going on with them...and talk about tv. I don't usually jump into the philosophical discussions and I have nothing to contribute to the charity work you mention. So, if you plan on talking about yourself, your life and TV (I haven't watched Lost yet) - I'm still around and I'll probably comment. :)

I read! I am just horrible at commenting...

1. I don't see it as changing history. They were there in the past, we're just seeing it now.

2. I dunno.

3. I hope that doesn't happen.

4. I don't think Richard is moving around in time. I think it's more like he's....i dunno....not aging? Although he seems to know an awful lot about moving around in time. And also I thought it was weird that he seemed to know a little bit about the order that Locke was jumping. Plus he has an excellent memory.

5. Mabye they did know. The military might know a lot of things that they aren't sharing. ;)

6. I didn't think that Charlotte was the coma . I'll have to rewatch that part.

7. I thought it was Theresa. And wasn't Boone's nanny or whoever named Theresa? Maybe there's some connection there??

I still read, but I don't comment much. lol There never seems to be enough hours in the day for me. Also, since I actually have decent furniture, I spend less and less time actually at the computer. :) I actually lost track of time last night and didn't realize that LOST had started until I got a text from Nik. D'oh! So I had it on in the background, but wasn't really watching it. I wanted to wait until tonight and watch it from the beginning.

Hey ya Boss,
I don't know what your talking about as far as Lost, but as far as LJ and homespunhelpers I like to use it more because I just find it easier then the other outlets we use. I do like that Yahoo sends you an e-mail when it's updated, kind of helps keep you more in touch with what's going on.
